It’s business as usual at Crawley Town says Barker

Crawley Town manager Richie Barker says it’s business as usual following the club’s chief executive Richard Low’s departure yesterday.

He says communication will continue directly between himself and the board of directors.

But he would not be drawn on the reasons for Low’s departure just six months after joining the club.

Barker said: “It’s a big blow for the club and it’s going to be tough. There must be reasons for it but I am not going to comment on this.

“It’s not a problem on the footballing side. It’s business as usual for us. Players don’t have much to do with the chief executive. I sign the players and the chief executive dots the Is and crosses the Ts. I will deal with the board of directors.”

But he added: “I would definitely like to see a new chief executive in place as soon as possible.”
