The Crawley Observer Player of the Year last season scored 21 goals and was responsible for clinching a number of points during the season.

However Yates is confident he has the players who can score the goals needed for a competitive campaign.

He said: “I think Roarie Deacon, Lee Barnard, Matt Harrold, Gwion Edwards could contribute more, Jimmy Smith, Luke Rooney, Shamir Fenelon, We have all got goals in the team, without a doubt.

“We don’t have one who has got 20 goals perhaps, we will have to be more of a team and that’s fine. Maybe if the goals had been spread around the team more last season, then who knows?

“We would like a player who can score 25 goals a season, ofourse you do we haven’t got one, we know that. There are not many players around who can do that.

“We think we’ve got the firepower. We go in to the season happy with where we are compared to where we were when I arrived.”
