Richie Barker sacked by Portsmouth
Former Crawley Town manager Richie Barker has been sacked by Portsmouth.
The move happened just four months after being sacked by Crawley Town.
It follows a poor run of results where Pompey only won four games out of 20 while he was in charge at Fratton Park.
They are only two points above the relegation zone with a handful of games left to play.
Chairman Iain McInnes and chief exective Mark Catlin met with him on Wednesday night and told him his fate today.
Portsmouth’s academy manager Andy Awford is believed to be taking temporary charge for their this Saturday’s visit to Newport.
