Winger Nicky Adams also went off injured after receiving a knee in the back but should be available for Sunday’s clash.

Billy Clarke though, will miss out on the next three league games having earned himself a straight red near the end, though Kyle McFadzean will be back from suspension and skipper Josh Simpson could also return from injury.

Reflecting on a close match which saw the Dons take their chances while Reds were wasteful, Gregory felt 2-0 was harsh on his side.

But he said he was taking positives from earning four points from ‘three of the best sides in the league’ in Preston North End, Leyton Orient and MK Dons.

The defeat, Gregory’s first since taking over as Crawley boss, saw the side slip to 14th in the League One table.
