Reds have beaten the likes of Leyton Orient, Coventry City and Peterborough United home and away this season, but this win arguably tops them all as the club’s biggest ever scalp in the Football League.

First half goals from Billy Clarke and Matt Tubbs saw the hosts come from behind to win in front of a record league crowd at the Checkatrade.com Stadium and Simpson - who was one of a number of outstanding Reds performers playing just behind lone striker Tubbs - was delighted with his side’s display.

Not only did it end Wolves’ ten-game unbeaten run which has included nine straight wins and a draw, but it gave Crawley back-to-back wins for only the second time this season and lifted them up to 12th position in League One.
