Crawley Wasps’ new striking partnership of Lili Beckett and Millie Baverstock worked wonders together to help bring Wasps more quality than Eastbourne were expecting.
Wasps Under 15 team were showing some great form which nearly led to a them pulling off a shock victory.
On 25 Minutes a quick break would see eastbourne get into a good possesion and play some quick football and finding the back of the net to take the lead 1-0, Wasps were back into the game and played good football until the half time whistle.
The Second half would kick off and the new defence partnership of Chloe Baines, Emily Smith, Abbie Chart and Kiera Beavan were not letting anything to pass them,
Some good football between Caitlin Baigent and Mollie Martin who were linking up really well, were giving Eastboune a hard afternoon and there keeper was being kept busy, a early shot in the 2nd half from the Captain Chloe Coaker with the ball being cleared off the line.
A few tactical changes were made with wasps looking for the equaliser,
On 65 Minutes a quick run down the wing from Caitlin Baigent would find Mollie Martin who crossed the ball into the box finding Millie Baverstock who struck the ball into the back of the net for the equaliser 1-1.
Wasps could now feel the win was there for them to take and another great chance from Lily Beckett just wide, with 3 minutes left on the clock a corner for the wasps with a great attack on the goal and the Eastbourne defence clearing quick the break was on, one on one with Feitong Wilde who got down in front of the player just wide and eastbourne to take the lead 2-1.
The clock was ticking down so Wasps threw everything they could until the final whistle.
A great 80 minutes of football from Crawley Wasps Under 15s who deserved atleast a point from the game.
