Crawley's Harrold ruled out for rest of season with knee injury

Crawley Town striker Matt Harrold has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a knee injury.

It is understood he needs surgery to clear out the knee.

The Reds targetman has been a regular starter this season and is seen by manager Mark Yates as a major reason why Crawley Town have secured their Football League status for next season.

Harrold, 31, has played 39 games this season, scoring nine goals.

He started Saturday’s 5-1 defeat against Oxford United and continued until the 55th minute when he was replaced by Shamir Fenelon, but it was not clear he was suffering from an injury.
