Goals in each half by Callum Donaghey and Michael Wilson earned Bridges a 2-0 victory against South Park.
Bridges started well with Mitchell Casselman winning a corner from his first diagonal run, Steve Sargent stepped up to take the corner and found Donaghey to head the ball home in the fifth minute.
Abu Touray was in fine form when he collected a pass from Steve Sargent, but his pass to Hakeem Adelakun was blasted over the cross bar.
Again, Touray was ball-winner with a pass to Casselman who failed to get in a shot to trouble the South Park keeper, Kieran Campbell.
Adelakun tried a long, dipping shot which was well saved and South Park started to get into the game as Bridges seemed to ease-off.
Academy midfielder Alfie Jones, once again in goal for the injured Kieron Thorp, made a fine save from a long, high shot which was curling in just under the crossbar.
Mark Pulling and Sargent were both using the long diagonal ball to find Touray and Casselman but with no end result.
Sammy MacVicar gave a good chance to Casselman to increase the lead, but his shot just cleared the cross bar with the keeper well beaten as the first half came to an end following cautions for both sides and the South Park manager being sent-off.
The second half started with fast pace from both sides but South Park created more chances, putting the Bridges defence under pressure.
David Watts had a good chance with his head from a corner and then Dan Moody pulled his shot side when he found himself clean through and unmarked.
A free-kick by Sargent found the head of MacVicar but went wide.
South Park were fighting for the equaliser with the Bridges defence being marshalled well by Donaghey and Jamie Crellin to keep a clean sheet, with the ball ricocheting around players before being cleared.
However, South Park did score after 85 minutes but the goal was disallowed when goalkeeper Jones was clattered into mid‑air and needed medical attention.
Seven minutes into added time, a long defensive clearance was collected by Adelakun who unselfishly passed to another academy youngster Wilson to score with his first touch of the ball, having replaced Touray only three minutes earlier in what turned out to be an inspired substitution!
