Dermot Drummy says tonight's pre-season friendly with Worthing will be a balancing act with Crawley Town unlikely to field a full-strength side.

It will be Reds’ fourth warm-up match as they entertain the Ryman League Premier Division new boys at Three Bridges.

Crawley faced a tough workout against Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday, starting what looked like a close to full-strength XI, where Enzio Boldewijn and Jason Roberts played the full 90 minutes.

They may not even feature according to Drummy, who will be taking plenty of advice on who to play from new strength and conditioning coach Marc Lindsey.

The head coach said: “Jordan and Enzio have done 90 (minutes) so they might not even figure or just do partly. It’s all about balancing up who has done 45 minutes or 65 minutes with Marc Lindsey, our strength guy.

“He will look at the heart-rate monitors and GPS and see who has recovered right and who can do what, so he plays a big part of this at the moment.

“I will balance out the game against Worthing and then we will go strong again against Millwall and balance it out again and then strong against Aldershot.

“I have all that in mind and the players have to work their way into the starting XI. At the moment I am close to seeing a lot of them there, but that may change over a period of time.”

Kick-off at Jubilee Field is 7.45pm.
