Jordan Roberts, Jason Banton and Enzio Boldewijn linked up well in Reds’ 4-0 pre-season defeat to Championship outfit Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday.

It was a step-up in their friendly fixtures against a side that missed out on automatic promotion to the Premier League last year on goal difference and the trio looked sharp despite failing to break onto the scoresheet.

On another day, James Collins could have opened his account but for a number of smart saves and although Drummy believes there is work to do in the final third, he was impressed.

The head coach said: “They have pace and they are going to be a goal threat. The three of them look a threat and I have to work on them as I think Collins needs balls into the box.

“(Against Brighton) we didn’t get behind them too much and if we get behind them we have got to deliver on it. Collins worked hard, but we didn’t give him too many opportunities.

“I am excited with those three, we have Bobson (Bawling) as well and Matt Harrold, who are all goalscorers.

“We have five of them, Bobson is a bit spontaneous at the moment, but those three look like a very good standard for this division.

“I do not think we are short up front, we can play Jason Banton in the left pocket. We have Bobson, Enzio, Jordan Roberts and Matt Harrold is a week away.

“That’s five and there is James Collins, it’s an area we will get another one in probably, but it’s not urgent for me.”

But Drummy is keen to add to another ‘quality’ signing to his squad as well as trialist Billy Clifford, who will sign on Wednesday.

He added: “We are going to make another signing, we know the area, but I don’t want to say what area yet as we are working hard to get one more signing in that is quality.

“The others will be peripheral when they come in and fight for the squad, but I want a quality signing in and we are working on it.

“We are looking for 20 outfield players, I am happy with the keepers so 20 outfield players max.”
