Eren: Drummy brings vital recruitment knowledge

Crawley Town owner Ziya Eren has said Dermot Drummy's vast experience and recruitment knowledge landed him the head coach role.

The former Arsenal and Chelsea coach has penned a two-year deal with Reds, with a year’s optional add on.

He has worked youth talents including Jack Wilshere, Kieran Gibbs, Wojciech Szczesny, Ashley Cole, David Bentley and Cesc Fabregas at Arsenal.

While Ryan Bertrand, Michael Essien and Romelu Lukaku were amongst the Chelsea ranks in his hugely successful time there from 2009 to 2015.

New owner Eren believes that experience is just what is needed at the Checkatrade Stadium.

He said: “Dermot will bring top level experience and vital recruitment knowledge to Crawley Town.

“We wish him all the best for a long and successful tenure at the club.

“We thank our supporters for all your patience during these past few days and look forward to an exciting new chapter in the history of Crawley Town FC.”
