Former Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester City players will be on show at Three Bridges

Crawley Town head coach Dermot Drummy will take another look at his trialists before making any decisions over taking them on.

Former Manchester City and Crystal Palace striker Fisayo Adarabioya and ex-Chelsea and Colchester midfielder Billy Clifford both scored in yesterday’s 9-2 pre-season win at East Grinstead.

Drummy praised the trialists’ standard, highlighting former Arsenal, Tottenham and Chelsea defender Andre Blackman.

He said: “You have got to have bodies and we haven’t finished signings yet - we still have a couple of players I think we want to bring in.

“Andre has played at Celtic briefly, he’s played at Portsmouth, he’s been around and is a decent player, and there are some boys who have been recommended I am watching on behalf of our recruitment team.

“You are just looking and it’s a nice opportunity to do that.

Drummy will give them another chance to impress at their next game at Three Bridges on Tuesday night.

he said: “They all done really well today in terms of playing the way I want them to play. We’ll look again at Three Bridges and see where we are in the market.”

Defender Lanre Oyebanjo, who has been a Crawley Town player for the last two years but was hit heavily by injury last season, played the second half as he tries to earn another contract.

New signing Alper Tursun did not play having twisted a knee while striker Matt Harrold, who had knee surgery at the end of last season, is being saved until next Saturday’s Brighton game.
