The former Chelsea and Arsenal academy coach will take charge of his first full season at Reds with the visit of Wycombe Wanderers on Saturday.

Drummy, left, has already revealed he does not take losing well, but has stopped short of predicting where Reds will end up this season.

He has made it clear that it’s a work in progress and they are building for the future.

The 55-year-old, who is in his maiden first team management role, took charge of the club for the final few games of last season, but admits he can’t wait to get his own team into action.

He said: “People have a lot of questions when people come from development coaches, but I can only coach the way I coach.

“I want to win and I want to win for the club. We have all worked so hard this pre-season, to win against Wycombe and put in good performance at Wolves is just what the club needs.
