Maguire-Drew said Crawley were unlucky after Stevenage grabbed a late winner in a game dominated by the Reds.

The defeat means Crawley have taken one point from their past four matches, and now sit 13th in the table, eight points behind the play-off places.

"It's very frustrating. I felt like...a goal was going to come," stated Maguire-Drew. "That bit of luck will come. When things aren't going well...things don't go your way.

"We had to match them physically, but we knew what they were going to be about. It wasn't a surprise...it just was one of those days. If one had gone in...we would have had two or three, maybe.

"We've got games coming thick and fast we can put it right and build some momentum. We go back on the training pitch on Thursday, work really hard and get [ready] for Saturday."

For Maguire Drew, it was his first full 90 minutes since joining the club on loan from Leyton Orient in January. On a personal level the Crawley Winger was happy - but he remains focused on turning the team's fortunes around.

"I want to show everyone why John brought me into the club. I just want to help us push up the table and get into those play-off places."
