Mersin beats Chelsea goalkeeper to number one spot

The Turkish goalkeeper has impressed in pre-season and been handed the jersey ahead of on-loan Chelsea stopper Mitchell Beeney.

Reds have seven full debutants and line-up as expected after Dermot Drummy hinted he was playing his strongest line-ups in pre-season against Brighton and Millwall.

The exciting attacking trio of Jordan Roberts, Jason Banton and Enzio Boldewijn start behind striker James Collins.

Matt Harrold is on the bench for Reds after missing their final pre-season friendly at Aldershot Town with a reaction after coming back from his knee operation.
