Mid Sussex League Divisions 2-9 Round-up

In Division 2 Sporting Elite were 2-0 down against a strong Ashurst Wood team but a rousing second half fight back saw them win an amazing game 3-2,

R.Knight and S.Whyton(2) scored the goals to stun Wood.

Division 6 has four local sides playing, Copthorne III, Hydraquip II, Cherry Lane and Sporting Elite II. Copthorne are going best with seven straight wins, while Hydraquip II have five wins and a draw from their first six.

Cherry Lane got off to a poor start but are looking strong again after beating promotion hopefuls Jarvis Brook 2-0 with goals from O.Huddlestone and S.Carr.

Hydraquip bagged five against Sporting Elite with a brace from Sam Wetherall and the same from Gal Dean, Dan Paton got the fifth and the Man of the Match award. S.Panter notched a late consolation for Elite.

Copthorne beat Rotherfield 5-1 star billing going to H.Weddell who scored 3, R.Fenton and D.Mattar got the other two.

New side Stone Bright are setting the pace in Division 9, they beat Ringmer 8-0 with goals from J.Andrade, J.Maher (3), R.Silva, D.Stuart (2) and S.Weller.
