New Crawley head coach Drummy promises to entertain

New head coach Dermot Drummy has promised to deliver entertaining football at Crawley Town.

The former Arsenal and Chelsea coach was revealed as the League Two club’s new man at the helm this afternoon.

The 55-year-old’s appointment comes just two days after manager Mark Yates and assistant Jimmy Dack left the club after a run of six straight defeats.

It will be Drummy’s first senior managerial appointment and he will be assisted by former Aldershot coach Matt Gray.

Drummy said:“I am delighted to be at Crawley and look forward to giving our fans winning football that will also entertain them.

“Hopefully I can produce a team that plays attractive football that excites our fans and brings the whole club together – players, supporters and the people who work for the club.

“I can’t wait to get started. I’m looking forward to meeting the players and preparing for Saturday’s game.”
