He said: “This is the best side Bridges have ever had.

“It’s great to have Tony Garrod here who is ex-Southampton, but you only have to look around the park to see some of the players that we have here, I mean Ellis Hooper is ex-Crawley Town and so is (Allan) Tait.

“So we have got a lot of experience and a lot quality here and most of the boys have been coached at a decent level. Garrod brings something special and him and Ben Godfrey I just think work well together up-front.”

Bridges thrashed fellow Ryman South opponents Carshalton Athletic 4-1 on Saturday to seal their place in the FA Trophy qualifying first round.

Faili added: “The league is massive for us this year and the cup is something that we try things out on, the cup is what we enjoy and we have a bit of fun in.

“But to be totally honest as the manager of the first-team it has to be about the league this year, but the chairman will love taking the money from the cup!”
