For the Pinks, who were crowned Division 2 champions several weeks ago, it was an appropriate end to a campaign where they have averaged almost 7 goals a game.

Dan Maskell got the scoring underway after just 2 minutes, converting from the penalty spot. But the game didn’t appear to be panning out as planned when The Dugout equalised, leaving the sides level at half time.

Flamingos flurry of goals came early in the second half. Paul Hunt put them back ahead almost immediately after the restart and 10 minutes later Josh Burgess increased the lead to 3-1.

An unlikely 10 minute hattrick then followed; centre half Jack Farrall joining in with Flamingos’ attacks and converting 3 times.

Josh Burgess and Bryce Protheroe added another two goals late on.
