Poor Horsham fall into bottom four after failing to build on early lead

Hornets let slip an early lead created by Junior Kaffo before conceding three goals in a terrible second half display.

New manager Gary Charman called for his team to take reponsibility for their displays and culd not bleieve they did not come away with three points.

He said: “It was very dsappointing. We were the better side. We created 10 or 12 chances to score and we should have been a few goals up at half-time.

“We missed three or four sitters. Corinthians were not brilliant but we played to the standard we needed to. The longer the game went on, the more our players had negative thoughts.

“The second half was just so poor after we conceded. The critical thing was not scoring becasue it gave Corinthians the belief. They only had three shots on goal and scored three goals. We should have scored about five goals, if not more.”

Despite missing both Tom Graves and Gary Charman through illness, this was a near full-strength Horsham team in which Jahmahl King and Billy Dunn made their first appearances since being injured in a road accident three weeks ago.
