Scares are Fewell and far between as Bosham reach cup final

They had the slightly brighter start looking to get the ball wide and forward quickly.

After five minutes, good work on the right saw Jack Antony peel off to the right and a great ball from Charlie Hawes put Antony in. His perfect cross saw Will Burch rise to head in from eight yards.

Despite the early goal Bosham didn’t settle and Worthing came more into it.

Just after the half-hour, a Worthing player was brought down in the box and a penalty was awarded. But it was well-saved by Callum Fewell, who got down to his right and held it.

A few minutes later a Worthing shot hit the post but before it crossed the line Fewell was there to save - although Worthing felt the ball had crossed the line.

Bosham made a bright start to the second half and Burch headed in at the far post from a corner by skipper James Johnson.

This settled Bosham and they produced some good football. Worthing kept plugging away and created some chances, with Fewell brought into action again.

Good work on the wings produced chances for Burch to get his hat-trick but it eluded him.

Johnson’s 25-yard effort was saved by the Worthing keeper and an Antony strike was tipped on to the post.

Bosham brought on Justin d’Agar and Adil Rahman to provide fresh legs.

This was a great achievement from Bosham, whose opponents in the final will be Worthing Rebels, who won the other semi-final 4-2 against Storrington.

Man of the match was keeper Callum Fewell.

Predators Youth 4 Barnham Trojans 2

Predators faced Trojans for the third time this season and after beating them in the league and Challenge Cup, they made it a hat-trick.

Predators started with gusto with the wind behind them and Josling soon opened the scoring.

A corner from Farndell found Irish who made it 2-0. Josling netted a fantastic half-volley from outside the area making the score 3-0 to Predators at half-time.

Predators found the second half more of a challenge and the game became very physical. Irish scored the second amazing goal of the game but Barnham fought back and were awarded a penalty when one of their players was taken down in the area.

Predators keeper Williams went the right way but was unable to stop it going in.

From a goalmouth scramble, Barnham managed to score another goal but Predators dug in hard and came out winners, keeping them second in the table.

Man of the match was Josh Irish.

Highdown Saints 1 Pagham 2

The shock of going one down after two minutes woke up Pagham.

In the first half they had chances for Knight, Smith, Cleall and Misselbrook but couldn’t find the net.

The second half started the same as the first with more chances for Pagham and on 50 minutes a superb through-ball from Cleall put Urbanczyk through and his powerdriver made it 1-1.

On 60 minutes Smith passed to Knight whose shot from 30 yards sailed over the keeper into the net.

Pagham’s man of the match was Ryan Knight.

Chichester City 12 Lancing Utd 0

Chichester started with a goal on 13 seconds for Patric Turner and he got his second shortly afterwards by closing down a goal kick.

City dominated and two apiece for Collins Alfred and Zac Moy made it 6-0 at the break.

In a similar second half, City were rarely troubled at the back and Moy and Turner completed their hat-tricks before Alfred got three more, the pick of them a powerful header from a corner to take his total to five.

James Amos finished things off with a run through the defence and smart finish. Man of the match was Alfred.
