Chairman Paul Terry praised: “I had every confidence in our manager Paul Faili, his assistant Keith George and the players.

“The last signings Tony Garrod and Allan Tait are proven goalscorers.

“Thanks to a lot of hard work from them and behind the scenes, it made for a joyous weekend.

“When the final whistle went all the supporters and players and jumping up and down just like when we came up from the County League.”

Terry gave a vote of support for local rivals Crawley Down Gatwick who cannot get out of the bottom three.

“I hope Crawley Down get a reprieve as they’re a good team there with Brian Suckling and his committee.”
