Reds have made five summer signings and have all-but retained the services of Matt Harrold and Lewis Young as well as Bobson Bawling and Jimmy Smith.

They also have Joe McNerney, Gwion Edwards and Simon Walton on contract - although the latter has been told he can leave the club.

Drummy is hopeful of adding another striker, revealing the unnamed forward wants to join the club, as well as imminently signing a goalkeeper.

The former Chelsea coach said: “We have got the nucleus and what we are doing now is, because I am happy with the signings, I am not going mad now to push it anymore.

“I think at this time there are people coming back from holidays, people that are trying to play division one that don’t get their move and then they think about division two.

“I am waiting to see if the mind sets of people change, we still have targets we are going for that are prolonged.

“But there is, I guess, because we are a division two side, that pecking order. It is for them to come and say they are interested.

“I am really pleased at the moment with what we have got. If we get Matt Harrold over the line, we are also looking at another striker.

“We are close and he wants to come but there is another club at the moment. It might be a loan deal.

“He’s a goalscorer, he has scored in division two and I know him quite well.”
