The Reds board are looking for a new boss to replace Mark Yates, who left the club today.

We have compiled the following list of potential managers who are currently out of a job.

The early favourite is former Liverpool and Wales legend and Crawley caretaker manager from last season Dean Saunders who was manager of League 1 club Chesterfield before being sacked during this season.

Former York City manager Russ Wilcox is second favourites at 6/1, along with Gary Johnson who is currently in charge of new National League champions Cheltenham Town.

Southampton legend and former Accrington Stanley manager James Beattie.

Steve Cotterill who took Bristol City up into the Championship before being sacked in January this year.

Graham Westley has been linked before to Crawley and has plenty of experience, managing Stevenage Borough in three spells and has just been sacked by Peterborough United.

Micky Adams, the former Port Vale and Tranmere boss won promotion for Brighton & Hove Albion as Division 3 champions during the first of his two spells managing the club.

Ex-Alderhsot and Oxford United boss Gary Waddock.

Former Charlton and England left back Chris Powell who has managed Leicester City, Charlton and Huddersfield.

Ian Holloway, popular with the media for his unusual interviews and amusing soundbites, his list of clubs managed includes Millwall, Crystal Palace and Blackpool.
