Manager Paul Faili took the opportunity to feature a number of Under-21 players as well as a couple of Under-18s.

One of these was goalkeeper Ben Purkis, who must have wondered what he’d let himself for as Barking struck twice in the opening seven minutes.

Adesina headed the visitors in front as he met a corner, and then a terrific long range strike by Billy Reynolds doubled the tally.

But Bridges then settled and eventually netted four minutes before the interval when Tom Gannon bundled in Sam MacVicar’s low cross at the far post.

Second half substitute Tony Garrod had a 53rd minute shot blocked but the ball ran perfectly for MacVicar to level, but six minutes later the dangerous Adesina burst clear to drill past Purkis, while brave dive at the feet of Adesina prevented him grabbing a hat-trick.

Earlier in the week a solid looking Horsham side drew 1-1 at Bridges, who took a 32nd minute lead through Sam MacVicar.

But seven minutes later a corner again proved Bridges’ undoing with Joe Shelley stabbing hone the equaliser.
