Cottesmore raise £4,000 for Chestnut Tree

Christine Knight, the 2014 Lady Captain of Cottesmore Golf and Country Club handed over a cheque for £4,203.55 to Jayne Todd, community fundraiser for Chestnut Tree House Children’s Hospice. The money raised was the result of all the charity events held in Christine’s captaincy, which included the Cottesmore Pro-Am, rafflesheld at their Spring and Autumn Meetings and their Turkey Trot, golf competitions, guessing games, a Christmas flower arranging afternoon and five quiz nights. Christine acted as quizmaster for the quiz nights which were particularly popular with teams of four competing over 10 rounds of general knowledge, as well as enjoying a tasty supper!
