GOLF: Laura March and Carole Bauckham win Cottesmore Ladies Invitation Day

Cottesmore’s Ladies Section held their annual Ladies Invitation Day on Thursday, in pleasant weather, with fast greens and fairways in good condition.

The ball spotter stationed on the fifth fairway found himself with little to do he reported afterwards, as almost all the ladies found the fairway!

Members of the ladies section supplied a wonderful halfway house, and after the game, a delicious buffet lunch was provided by the catering staff.

Laura Marsh won and her guest Carole Bauckham from Mannings Heath with an excellent 43 points on count back from second place which was Viv Lyons and her guest Ann Morgan from Mid-Sussex also with 43 points.

Penny Gaunt was third and her guest Pam Leach from Cowdray Park.
