Kings warns against complacency against Rocks

The Rocks are languishing fifth from bottom, but King said, "They're a decent side.

"They might be near the bottom of the table but they still play a good game.

"They play nice football and can get around you.

"We have to be on the top of our game and on our mettle if we're going to beat them. But if we are we should be ok."

King said he had mixed feelings about Saturday's 4-0 win over Welling United, when the Rooks went 3-0 up inside the first 10 minutes.

"We started well '“ the first 20 minutes were probably the best ever I have seen them play," he said.

"And they were really clinical in front of goal. But it petered out later on in the first half, and second half we took our foot off the pedal.

"That's not very good and I wasn't very happy with it.

"I told them they could have kept taking the game to them and scored even more goals.

"But I'm pleased we scored four goals and I'm pleased we kept a clean sheet."

King said he was happy, though not surprised, that new signing Hamid Barr registered his first goal for the club in the away win.

"He's going to score goals; he's that type of player," he said.

King has signed an 18-year-old goalkeeper from Three Bridges.

Stewart Robinson impressed in a friendly game played between a Rooks XI and Eastbourne United Association on Tuesday, saving a penalty which, unfortunately for him, had to be retaken.

"We'll help him develop and loan him out to clubs at higher levels than he has currently been playing," said King.

"We've got him for two years. In the long term we're hoping he can progress."

Steve Robinson (suspended) is the only unavailable player for tomorrow's game.
