In an idea inspired by club runner Leigh Baker, the relay race took place on Tuesday evening, starting at 4.00pm.

Strict rules included it being your only outdoor exercise of the day, each leg had to be run in team order and the leg starting from your front door. With many runners from the club working on the front line or as key workers, and only able to complete their leg once finishing their shift, the event took 49 hours to ensure every runner was back home safely.

Prizes were awarded virtually to the first team to complete the challenge, the team with the overall fastest finish time, team with the best homemade running bib numbers and the runner with the best running gear.
