The former Watford youngster was signed by John Gregory in 2013 and has played 47 times for the club, including 24 starts.

Bobson played in the final game of last season against Barnet and his work ethic and energy has impressed Head Coach Dermot Drummy during their short time working together.

“We’ve been impressed with what I’ve seen of him so far,” said Dermot.

“He has good pace and his work ethic is really pleasing, he’s a young man who wants to learn and go further in the game and he could be an exciting prospect.

“We want to try and improve his game. We can do that by using him with the other new players we’ve brought in such as Jason (Banton) and Enzio (Boldewijn).

“They can rotate in certain positions and that’s what we’re hoping to do.”

It has been a busy time for the boss and his assistant Matt Gray since they arrived at the club, with things slowly beginning to take shape under the new management duo.

“Matt’s been doing a lot behind the scenes and he’s been talking to the agents and we’re pleased with what we’ve done so far,” added Dermot.

“There’s a lot to do and we’re really pleased to get done as much as early as possible.

“With a lot of players leaving the club, we needed an influx – I’m pleased with the quality we’ve got in so far.

“We’re going for energetic players and people who have hunger and want to play for Crawley Town. Bobson fits into that category.”

Bobson said: “I have really enjoyed my two years at Crawley so far but now I want to kick on, play more games and show the fans, who have been brilliant to me, a lot more.

“I’m having a rest at the moment but to be honest I can’t wait for pre-season to start. The players the manager has brought in so far are very exciting and I’m really optimistic about next season already.”
