They started strongly and early forward pressure soon enabled scrum-half Ben Searle to cross the line with only six minutes on the clock.

Luke Wilson was soon to follow as the home side moved the ball away from the strong Seaford forwards and quick movement of the ball through the backs put him away into the corner.

The home side kept Seaford pinned in their home half and as many refereeing decisions went the way of Crawley, the visitors became frustrated with their lack of ball.

Shortly before half-time Ollie Hall crossed the line for Crawley taking the half-time score to 17-0.

The second half continued as the first and tries for the home side came from Ollie Hall, Matt Lane-Miller, Barry Theobald and Man of the Match Chris Thompson, with conversions from Andy Evans and Alfie Spurgeon.

It was Seaford however who finished strongest, as they dug deep into their reserves a driving maul from ten metres out crossed the Crawley line and the ball grounded for their only points of the day shortly before the final whistle. The coaching staff were pleased with the Crawley performance as they maintained their pressure throughout the game and kept their composure and focus.

There is still all to play for and with three league fixtures left, a shot at promotion can still be achieved if other results favour Crawley.

For this to materialise though the side needs to gain maximum points from their remaining games which will require maximum effort from all involved.

Crawley: Theobald, Mansfield, Wrigley, Gosling, Gilliat, Thompson, Morgan-Smith, Hall, Searle, Spurgeon, Hewitt, Lane-Miller, Evans, Wilson, Bowen, Patto, Barnes, Plunkett.
