Rye converted a penalty for 10-3, but this was the last time visitors were allowed anywhere near Crawley territory as the home side dominated possession.

Rob Gilliat made it through a heap of bodies to make the score 17-3 after 30 minutes, and Blaise Salle touched down at the end of the first half, his try was converted by Matt Lane-Miller.

Following some stern words from coach Steve Silver at half-time, Crawley started their onslaught.

Better distribution led to winger Christian Lodge going over after the break.

Lane-Miller converted and 10 minutes later scored from 30 metres out to take the game away from the visitors.

The home side were in their stride now as Wilson scored the try of the day following a patient build-up. Then Salle, Searle and Lodge all crossed for their second tries of the afternoon.

Matt Lane-Miller kicked superbly to convert six out of the 10 scores.
