Horsham’s Capitol launches contemporary and jazz Horsham Arts Club

Horsham’s Capitol are celebrating the 85th anniversary of the venue with the launch of Horsham Arts Club.

Matthew Effemey operations manager at The Capitol, said: “HAC is a new initiative and line-up of contemporary and jazz music concerts that reflect the best from the UK’s thriving music industry in Horsham.

“The first of these nights showcases W3, the resident funk house band of Ronnie Scott’s, world famous jazz club on Friday, July 16.

“Their high-energy performances are inspired by such artists as James Brown, Tower of Power, Herbie Hancock, to modern day artists such as Lettuce & Anderson Paak.

“The band features some of the top players in the country, musicians who have played and toured with the likes of Gary Barlow, Olly Murs, The Brand New Heavies, Incognito, Jess Glynne and Dionne Warwick.

“After a decade of performances at festivals around the world and at their home of Ronnie Scott’s in London, W3 make music that will put a smile on your face and get your hips moving.”

Matthew added: “We are very excited to be launching jazz into our programme.

“Ticket include a free drink and admission to the HAC Aftershow – a chance to relax and enjoy more intimate live music from London’s top jazz musicians in the comfort of The Capitol bar.”

Meanwhile, the Capitol is awaiting a possible opening date and behind the scenes preparing for shows for the summer months.
