Manchester Piano Trio offer chamber music gems at Horsham's Drill Hall

Horsham Music Circle's 74th season continues with an evening of gems from the chamber music repertoire.

The concert takes place on Friday, February 12, at The Drill Hall, Denne Road, at 7.30pm, featuring The Manchester Piano Trio.

Spokeswoman Jill Elsworthy said: “The trio make regular appearances at venues such as Bridgewater Hall in Manchester and St Johns Smith Square in London.”

She continued: “The trio’s members are violinist Adi Brett, cellist Nicholas Trygstad and pianist Jeremy Young.

“Jeremy Young is a senior piano tutor and director of chamber music at the Royal Northern College of Music. He performs throughout the world as a chamber musician and soloist and in the UK appears at the major London concert venues and Festivals.

“Adi Brett is the leader of the Manchester Camerata and plays guest principal for orchestras, including the BBC Philharmonic, the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic and BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra.

“Nicholas Trygstad has been principal cellist of the Halle Orchestra since 2005, having previously been principal cello with Scottish Opera.”

The programme includes trios by Beethoven and Mendelssohn, as well as John Ireland’s Piano Trio.
