EMF administrative assistant Susie Walsh said: “Our programmes span mediaeval music through to contemporary music, with a focus on the Golden Renaissance of English Music – the late-19th to early-20th centuries and an emphasis on unearthing works that have been overlooked or forgotten.

“The EMF is delighted to be playing a part in re-starting live music-making in the UK; our autumn festival will this year be held in Horsham, at St. Mary’s Church, on Friday, October 9 and Saturday, October 10.

“The opening concert on Friday evening includes violin sonatas by Elgar, Vaughan Williams and Delius while the Saturday morning piano recital features music with a local Sussex connection by Elgar, Holst, Bridge, Bax, Ireland and Parry. The afternoon concert is a lovely programme for flute and harp, while the Saturday evening concert celebrates less well-known baroque gems.”
