Horsham Fake Festival, which takes place on Saturday, June 4, at The Holbrook Club, has announced the five local support acts, which have been chosen to perform at this year’s event.

Alter Ego, Jodie Munday, Furious Badgers, Borrowed Time and The Supernotes have all been hand-picked by Matt Russell, licensee for Horsham Fake Festival, to perform on the main stage.

“There are no set criteria for choosing the artists,” said Matt. “We just have a listen to them, check out their social media, and then decide if their sound is right for our event.”

“We do, however, like to ensure that the artist is professional, as we take the quality of our entertainment very seriously, and we do not want the crowds to be disappointed. We feel we get the right balance of original and covers artists, which mixes the day up, and also gives up and coming bands a chance to showcase their music, in the hope that any media attending the event might pick up on them.

“We have had the likes of NME Magazine, Capital FM, and various other radio stations attend our festivals on a regular basis, so it is a great platform for new music.”

Matt added: “Alter Ego will be warming up the stage for the main tributes, with their lively mix of rock ‘n’ roll songs. From Horsham, the four-piece band will be rocking out the Fake Festivals marquee with their wide repertoire of covers.

“Jodie Munday will be bringing some refreshing originality to the stage with catchy and witty songs about modern dilemmas. Expect some humorous lyrics with some great accompanying sounds.

“Furious Badgers, also from Horsham, will be performing a great set of covers from the legendary David Bowie to The Clash, The Kinks, Talking Heads and many more.

“Borrowed Time will be ripping up the stage with their set list of classic party songs from Kings of Leon and Foo Fighters to The Red Hot Chili Peppers, ZZ Top and Chuck Berry.

“Horsham’s very own The Supernotes will be opening the first Horsham Fake Festival, with their wide variety of party covers from ’60s rock ’n’ roll to soul and funk, and the latest chart topping tunes.”

Tickets are selling fast and there are discounts for ‘early bird’ purchases.
