A-levels: Thank you, Mrs Murphy-Dunn!

Two students have said a heartfelt '˜thank you' to one of the teachers who guided them through their A-levels.

Ria Emsley and Maryam Pasha, who picked up their results from Ifield Community College yesterday (August 18), contacted the Observer to say “a huge thank you” to head of sixth form, Elaine Murphy-Dunn.

Ria, who achieved three B grades, is off to King’s College London to study religion, politics and society.

Maryam, who earned an A*, Distinction*, a B and a C, will study English literature at Durham University.

The pair also thanked the other teachers at the college who had helped them gain the marks they needed to get into their universities of choice.
