10. Petworth Park
Just one of a number of National Trust venues across East and West Sussex that is worth a visit. This one in Petworth, West Sussex, has a Grade I listed house in its grounds, as well as a pleasure garden and deer park and usually has activities for children.

11. Sharnfold Farm
Located at Stone Cross, between Eastbourne and Hailsham, in East Sussex it offers pick your own (PYO) fruit and vegetables, a farm shop, coffee shop, farm trail, play area and school holiday events (including a tractor and trailer ride).
12. Southwater Country Park
You can stroll around the lake and visit Dinosaur Island play area at this park in Southwater, near Horsham. It has The Quarry, a natural conservation area home to lizards, kingfishers and butterflies, and offers watersports.
