LETTER: Quality time with family

I was shocked to learn recently that over half (51 per cent) of families in the South East spend less than six hours a week together and 44 per cent don't think they spend enough quality time together.

Family time is so important. I loved spending time with my mother, even after she was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. That’s why I’m urging people in Sussex to rally around all the family and spend quality time taking part in Alzheimer’s Society’s Memory Walk at Hove Lawns on Saturday 8 October.

The event will not only bring families closer who usually spend little time together, but will also raise vital funds to support the 24,400 people with dementia living in Sussex.
