UPDATE: Crawley Down yard fire put out

A '˜major' fire at a yard in Crawley Down has now been extinguished.

Six crews from Crawley fought the fire at a yard in Burleigh Lane after being called at 5.20pm today, Monday, August 15.

The fire in an outbuilding raged for more than two hours before it was put out at around 7.40pm.

There are no reports of any injuries.

A fire service spokesperson described it as a ‘fairly major incident’.
