American Adam Selah, who has more than 440,000 subscribers on You Tube, drew crowds in an east London shopping centre when he and co-star Sheikh Akbar performed there in the spring.

He is one of the biggest Muslim stars and will stop off at The Hawth theatre for a half-hour concert and question and answer session as part of the weekend event.

After that he will start his European tour in Paris.

Marilyn Le Feuvre, who helps organise the Mela, said: “One of our committee members somehow managed to have contact. It was only finalised last night (July 22).

“It’s absolutely mind-blowing. You think he is on his way to his tour and is coming for as fee that we can afford.

“It’s absolutely amazing. We can’t believe it.”

Adam will be at The Hawth at 5pm. After performing there will be a chance to ask him some questions.
