Discussing his return, Jackson said: “I would very much like to thank David South and the Holcombe team for the opportunity of playing with them last year.

David’s enthusiasm and commitment to both hockey and Holcombe is inspiring and great to have experienced.

“Finishing the regular league season, undefeated last year, was a great achievement and testament to his passion and I was proud to be a part of their team.

“Moving away from my home club was a big decision but one I needed to do for my own development.

“My heart has always remained with East Grinstead and the personal draw back was one that I could not ignore.

“I am looking forward to wearing the No 7 shirt once more and helping in any way I can as we work towards moving back up the league table.

“I wish the Holcombe team the very best for this season’s campaign both domestically and in Europe and again thank them for the opportunity they gave me.”

East Grinstead look forward to seeing Jackson and his GB team-mate David Condon back on the pitch at home against Brooklands this Sunday, October 2, starting at 2pm.
