COMMUNITY STARS Lots of nominations but more needed
We are quickly approaching 50 nominees in our many categories, which include Health Heroes, True Inspiration and Best Volunteer. There are already some great stories of sacrifice, dedication and kindness but we know there are plenty more stories still to be unearthed.
So, we need your help.
We would really like some nominations in our Best Parent and Grandparent category. We can all often take what our parents or grandparents do for us for granted.

We would also like to hear from some more people about those who have excelled in the local arts and entertainment industry as well as shopworkers and shopkeepers who go that extra mile to make customers happy. And, before the summer holidays, we would like people to get nominating their teachers and schools.
It only takes one nomination to get a special person or group included in our awards.
All of the nominees will be included in a special supplement, printed in the Herald and Gazette, in a few months’ time, when we will be asking readers to vote for their favourites.
