LETTER: Why choose gardens for crackpot idea?

If, and it is a big if, Cllr Mullins gets to have a French boules pitch in the memorial gardens and it proves popular, does he intend to increase the amount of pitches in the gardens and take up more space?

If that is the case why on earth has he chosen the gardens for this crackpot idea? The people in his ward put him in office they can just as easily kick him out - he would be wise to think about that. Also, in reply to ‘Name and address supplied’ (Observer 23 March), I would like to point out, as you said yourself, the memorial gardens were much bigger then, of course there were games played, there was a lot more space.
