Caroline Cheshire brought Fitzcane’s Ice Cream Café in Grange Road, Midhurst, in 2014 having moved to the area from Boston in 2013.
Her house at North Mill was severely flooded just after Christmas last year so to take her mind off of it, she opened up the café which has become a popular destination for ice-cream aficionados of all ages.

Hide AdCaroline’s latest venture has seen her acquiring an alcohol licence for summer evenings, allowing her to offer wines and local fizz, staying open late until 9pm on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
“I opened an ice cream café in Midhurst to take my mind off waiting for the house to dry,” said Caroline.
“It has been a wonderful experience and the best way of moving on from the flood and becoming part of the Midhurst community.
“Now we have taken the next step and launched our summer evenings.
