A car sales building in Roffey was damaged by a fire that was started deliberately on Sunday (November 23).

Emergency services were called to the site on Crawley Road just after 6pm.

Firefighters used two breathing apparatus, a hose reel and a ventilation fan to battle the blaze, which affected a first floor stairwell and a landing.

Around ten per cent of the building’s first floor was damaged by fire, heat and smoke.
