Crawley Town have turned down two bids of over £100,000 for striker James Collins.

It is understood Luton Town and Coventry City have made bids for the striker.

Collins scored 22 goals in 51 appearances last season for Crawley and was the Crawley Observer Player of the Season.

He was the first Reds player to score 20 goals in a season since they became a Football League club.

His form continued from the previous two seasons when he scored 28 goals in 89 appearances for Shrewsbury and Northampton Town.
Crawley fans have been commenting on Facebook group CRAWLEY TOWN 4 LIFE over the development.

Malc Lochead said: "Shows the club's intentions if he stays, just hope it doesn't affect him if HE wants to leave.
Lee Mason said: "I will be amazed if he is still here next season.

Kev Gargini said: "I'm not surprised as he's a quality player. Hope he stays though.
