In poor conditions both sides had to deal with mud which hampered either side scoring during the first half.

A good pass from Mel Taylor (pictured left) put Fay Bourne into space who sprinted to the line and scored the first try of the game.

The second try followed quickly. Forward Tina Gorman picked up a loose ball and powered her way towards the line handing off two players passed to supporting fly half Sonya Da Silva who in turn passed back to Gorman to score under the posts. Saints proved too strong for the ladies from Kent who were unable to score.

St Francis welcomed former Burgess Hill player Teague Hampson who played her first senior game .
